A quarter acre of fescue that had thinned out under two maples, with moss in the shade and bare ground along the path.
WHAT WE DID
Core-aerated twice, overseeded with a shade-tolerant fescue blend, topdressed with compost and set the irrigation controller for germination.
RESULT
Filled in by the second mow and held through the following summer. The moss has not come back.
